Santa Cruz has announced the availability of its new ultra-tough Reserve carbon wheels, which were announced back in June of this year. Customers can now order Reserves as a wheelset from their local Santa Cruz dealer.
The Reserve wheel can be utilised by any riders with a Boost-compatible 27.5 and 29-inch bike.
To prove the strength of the carbon Reserve design, the brand enlisted the help of Danny MacAskill. In a video released today, MacAskill is seen on the streets of Glasgow attempting to destroy the wheel with a series of increasingly harder tests – resulting in simply riding down a large staircase with no tyre in place at all, at which point the wheel does indeed crack.
