Keith Henderson takes winning spot in folding bike race

Dahon notches up Nocturne win

Dahon rider Keith Henderson picked up his third consecutive win in the folding bike race at the Smithfield Nocturne 2010, last Saturday (June 19th).

After two heats 96 riders were whittled down to 25. The final business-suited competitors ran 30m to their bikes, then raced around the 1km circuit for three consecutive laps. Riding a Dahon Mu Ex, Henderson won out to be crowned the 2010 Folding Bike Champion of the HTC Smithfield Nocturne.

Henderson received a champion’s bouquet and a Dahon Speed Pro TT as his prize.

Aside from the racing, the Smithfield Nocturne also saw trade stalls – including one showcasing Dahon’s latest, a big screen and chance for the families and London cyclists to ride the Smithfield circuit in the London Festival of Architecture Skyride.

The Nocturne series isn’t over yet – the race heads to Edinburgh on July 3rd and Blackpool on August 7th
