Manufacturer gets behind the good cause at Taipei Cycle Show 2009

Dahon backs Taiwan Children’s Charity

Folding bike specialist Dahon is backing a local children’s charity during the Taipei Cycle Show.

Visitors to the Dahon stand will receive a free Dahon t-shirt or cap in exchange for local sales receipts. Eight receipts (which must range from January to March this year) will earn show-goers one of said Dahon items, and the receipts will be donated to the Taiwan Fund for Children and Families.

In Taiwan sales receipts are potential money spinners – offering consumers a chance to win money through a government-backed lottery. According to Dahon, charities are always requesting sales receipts to help with fund-raising.

“We thought that this would be a small but nice way of giving back to the community,” stated Joshua Hon, vice-president of Dahon.

“We chose to work with the Taiwan Fund for Children and Families because it is a fairly well-known charity in Taiwan and their focus is on helping children, who are the hope of our future.”
