Product designer looks to take innovative safety device into manufacture

Cyclist ‘arm-indicator’ creator seeks partner for production

The creator of a new safety-signalling device is looking for a UK company to partner in its manufacture and distribution.

The patent pending device uniquely straps onto the cyclists’ forearm, with chevrons indicating which direction the rider is heading into. The ‘indicators’ have been designed to be visible by traffic behind and in front of the cyclist.

Operated by a switch on the outside of the rider’s finger, the indicator can be switched on by the rider’s thumb, therefore not interfering with the business of cycling. The device is battery powered.

The Patent number for the device is: PCT/BG2009/002455

The creator of the device is now seeking a manufacturing partner to produce the indicator.
