10,000 already polled on their top 2010 moments in cycle racing

Cyclingnews.com readers vote for David Millar bike

Cyclingnews.com is canvassing its readers for their pick of the key riders, teams and moments in the world of cycle racing this year.

A whopping 10,000 votes have been received in less than a week, already troubling last year’s 14,000 total. In 2009 Lance Armstrong was voted Legend of the Year, the Cervelo S3 was picked as Bike of the Year, Columbia-HTC as Team of the Year and Fabio Cancellara as Rider of the Year.

Future is offering a 2010 Felt F1 SL race bike, used by David Millar this year and provided by Team Garmin-Transitions, as an incentive. One lucky entrant will bag the ride for his or her votes.

“The annual reader poll is a real chance for our readers to have a say about what they think have been the highlights in professional cycling in the past year – from the thrills of the Giro D’Italia to the epic stages at the Tour de France,” enthused Daniel Benson, managing editor for Cyclingnews.com.

“We’ve already had over 10,000 votes so far, so we’re expecting this to be our biggest poll yet, it’ll be interesting to see who our readers vote as their Rider of the Year in such a controversial year of riding.”
