Cycling Csar confirmed as Tory candidate for London mayor

Former transport minister Steve Norris – the man who nodded through the national cycle strategy, a plan later adopted by Labour, although not exactly acted upon – has been named as the Conservative candidate for the mayor of London.

The election takes place next year. Norris came second to Livingstone in the mayoral election held in 2000.
