Bike skills training set to be offered at the show in 2010

CycleActive returns to BikeRadar Live

Cycle skills trainer CycleActive is set to provide free cycle skill training at this year’s BikeRadar Live.

CycleActive took part last year in BikeRadar Live, which is moving to Brands Hatch this year, and running from July 11th to 12th.

The firm is offering a new ‘Pump and Jump’ area this year, teaching mountain bikers about flying off lips, small jumps, kickers and tabletops. The hour-long sessions will take place on a custom pump and jump coaching track, and bikers will then be able to put those into action at the rest of the event.

Family cycling skills will also be worked on in the junior skills sessions, while CycleActive will also offer one-on-one training sessions to bolster bike skills.

CycleActive founder and instructor Chris Ford said: “With the right instruction it’s amazing what cyclists and mountain bikers of all ages can achieve, and in a relatively short time. Whether it’s getting kids off stabilizers or adults into the air for the first time, the CycleActive instructors have the skills and experience to make it happen with safety and style.”

Event manager Grant Norris added: “We’re delighted that CycleActive are returning to BikeRadar Live again, the feedback that we got for the skills sessions last year from cyclists and families was great. Encouraging children to ride better, smoother, safer and with greater confidence is really key to BikeRadar Live, as we equip the cyclists of the future with the skills that they need."
