Cycle team sponsorship ‘beneficial’ to business says engineering firm

East-Midlands-based retailer Cycling Bargains’ cycling team has just recieved backing from sub-contract CNC machine shop Metaltek Engineering solutions.

The engineering jumped at the chance to have its logo splashed over the successful cycling teams gear, speaking highly of the busines benefits of sponsoring a cycling team.

"I became aware of www.cyclingbargains.com Infinis Racing Team a couple of years ago and when I saw its results and publicity they achieved in 2008. I could see they were going places. They are a highly professional outfit and have some big publicity plans for 2009, so I knew by helping them out my company name would be exposed to a lot of people. When I did the maths I soon noticed the exposure the team provide us was actually cheaper that many of the traditional local advertising routes that are out there."

Team manager, Rod Freeman said, "We are delighted to be supported by another Leicestershire company. All our riders are East Midlands based and the majority of our sponsors are also from the area. Metaltek has a long connection with cycling and we are honoured to have them on board. The team is looking forward to a strong 2009 season in our new Endura kit."
