Training provider now located in picturesque location in the South West

Cycle Systems Academy moves to Devon

January 2015 will see Cycle Systems Academy (CSA) start to run its wide range of maintenance and wheel building courses from a brand new home.

South Devon Seale-Hayne College will house CSA’s new workshop and training facility as well as allow the college to offer a number of new cycle related courses to the local community.

Run by the Dame Hannah Trust – an inspiring charity that has supported children and adults with disabilities for over 230 years – the college is home to a diverse range of facilities that, in many cases, will allow Cycle Systems students to kick back and relax after their course in picturesque surroundings.

Campus neighbours include an award winning bistro offering coffee and cakes, resident artists and designers, a music studio, swimming pool and gym, massage therapists and a health centre. There are also low cost, excellent accommodation options on site and Dartmoor’s riding right on the doorstep.

With a mainline train from London and the motorway just minutes away, the new venue is extremely accessible from all parts of the country, CSA said.

Cycle Systems’ Director, Julia Lally, explained: “We’re very excited to be relocating to Devon and sharing the benefits of this beautiful location with our students.

“All the courses that the trade know and love are still being offered with some exciting new developments in the pipeline for 2015 too such as a new frame building course for example.

“Our new location is a huge benefit to our students as it allows a wider choice of affordable accommodation and some amazing rural riding straight from our door.”

Simon Curtis from Dame Hannah Trust added: “We are excited to be working with Cycle Systems and look forward to offering increased opportunities for people with disabilities to engage with cycling through Cycle Systems Academy.

“We will be looking at organizing introductory days and accredited courses in cycle maintenance as well as working towards a service designing and building bespoke bicycle frames for people with disabilities.”
