Cycle trade get chance to show off their cyclocross skills at the NEC event this September

Cycle Show to host industry CX race for first time

This year’s Cycle Show will host cyclocross racing for the first time, with chance for both consumers and members of the trade to show off their skills.

On Sunday 28th the Derby Cyclocross team will organise three races for elite men, elite women, plus the mixed industry race for staff from bike shops, distributors or cycle media.

The course will start and finish inside the show with outdoor sections taking in parts of the woodlands at the NEC. The Upper Street team said the course will be a ‘suitably tough challenge for top riders and guarantee some great racing to showcase the sport to visitors’.

The Elite races will be by invitation only, but if you’re interested in taking part in the industry race you should head to this section of the Cycle Show site to reserve an entry.

Entry proceeds from the industry race will go to Wings for Life, which is the spinal cord injury charity that Martyn Ashton is raising money for this year.

Cycle Show 2014 runs September 25th to 28th (25th is trade and press only).
