The UCI World Road Championships take place 19-24th September in Salzburg. This is Austria's most cycle-friendly city. The city council and regional tourist board want cyclists planning on attending the World Championship to bring their bikes. Here's a five minute video podcast preview of the World Championships. Cycle-friendly Salzburg wants 40,000 cyclists to ride World Championship course

The video was shot on a press trip held last week in Salzburg, Austria, and hosted by the Austrian tourist board. It features Mozart, Samantha from cycling.tv as Julie Andrews in the Sound of Music, the Red Bull aviation museum, footage of hundreds of Salzburg cyclists, forty European cycle journalists and a preview of the road and time trial courses at SeptemberÂ’s UCI World Road Championships.

ThereÂ’s also news of a mass participation ride tied in with the World Championships.
