Bread and butter brand of independent bike shops in Germany now found in the UK

Contec signs with Fisher Outdoor

Contec, a staple of bike shops in Germany, has now signed with Fisher Outdoor Leisure.

Owned and developed by German distribution giant Hermann Hartje KG, the Contec label stretches across a multitude of everyday essential bike shop categories, including seatposts, handlebars, pumps, locks, luggage, pedals, saddles and mudguards.

Price point wise the label is positioned to offer great value for money for retailers and consumers alike. With margins of more than 50 per cent on many products, it’s little wonder that over 1,000 IBD’s in Germany alone have adorned their showrooms with the goods.

The collection also comes with a flexible range of POS solutions to maximise efficiency of display, enhance sales and is available at best trade prices from Fisher with minimum levels of stock commitment.

Sales and marketing director, Mike Cook said: “We’ve been looking for a multi-category solution that offer IBDs’ great quality and great value in these every day, essential categories. Contec ticks all of these boxes and as well as having a proven track record for quality and reliability, all of the Contec products look great both on the wall and when merchandised on the POS thanks to their clean, consistent packaging.”

Contec is now sold across five countries in mainland Europe. Stock is available from Fisher Outdoor leisure now.
