Darfon, a Taiwanese manufacturer of high-tech computer keyboards, announced the European presence for BESV, its e-bike brand, at a swanky launch in Amsterdam at the weekend.
The launch was accompanied with dance, video and thumping music.
CEO Andy Su said he had had high amibitions for BESV. "We are very successful in the production of keyboards, but we also want to achieve results in the e-bike industry. We will do that with distinctive e-bikes."
Darfon Electronics was founded in 1997. It has annual sales of $900+m and employs 20,000 people.
The European launch for BESV was to back-up a new sales network in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Russia, the Czech Republic and Italy.
