Few spaces remain months ahead of October's Blenheim Palace-based ride

Brompton World Championship almost full

Despite opening the ride to more competitors than ever to meet rising demand, spaces at the Brompton World Championship 2010 are already running out.

The race, taking place in the gounds of Blenheim Palace on Sunday October 3rd, will offer the biggest field yet for the race, now in its fifth year.

Emerson Roberts, Brompton’s Sales and Marketing Director, declared: "The BWC goes from strength to strength. Riders and spectators love it for its blend of excitement, competition and spectacle; and it reminds everyone that a Brompton doesn’t force a compromise between convenience and performance."

The BWC is taking place as part of the Breast Cancer Care Bike Blenheim Palace event.

Katharine Horsman, event organiser, commented that: "We already have over 700 people confirmed to race; this means there are only 50 places left. If you have been thinking of registering, but haven’t quite got round to it yet, now is the time to do so."

According to Brompton neither of the reigning Brompton World Chamions have registered for the event, yet, but there are rumours that Julia Shaw is planning to defend her title.
