British Mountain Bike Race Series has appointed Red Cloud Marketing and Communications as PR agency in time for the first round at Sherwood Pines next month.
Red Cloud will help promote the series – and the Bontrager TwentyFour12 event – to local, national and international media.
Organiser Martyn Salt said: ‘’Public awareness of both the British Mountain Bike Race Series and Bontrager TwentyFour12 has been developing nicely over recent years and we want this improvement to continue ahead of the London Olympics and well in to the future.
"We appointed Red Cloud as they have a proven track record of success in the bike industry and their Director, Mark Almond is a keen XC fan and supporter of many years. His passion for the sport will be a great addition to the team."
Mark Almond, director of Red Cloud, said: “We are really happy to be working with Martyn and the rest of the team on these exciting events.”
He added: “With London 2012 fast approaching, there is a huge opportunity for mountain biking to prosper as both a spectator and participation sport in the UK."
The British Mountain Bike Race Series consists of five rounds, Mar 26/27 at Sherwood Pines, April 16/17 – Dalby Forest, June 11/12 – Wasing Estate, June 25/26 – Margam Park and Sep 24/25 – Newnham Park, which also includs Newnham 60 enduro, Floodlit Cross and Team Relay.
