Moore Large is to exclusively bring Bobbin Bicycles to the UK and Irish bike trade following a new deal.
The move means improved stock availability and order process for the brand, as well as enhanced dealer support including a structured ‘Key Dealer Programme’.
Coming into effect from March, the 2015 Bobbin Bicycles collection will be launched at The London Bike Show in February and at Moore Large’s in-house show ‘Geared 2015’ at their Derby HQ in March, where the new Bobbin showroom will be unveiled.
The Bobbin team said: “With three years of very steep growth under our belt, we’ve been searching for a distribution partner with the necessary resources and reputation to help us meet demand and grow. We’ve been talking with Paul Stewart, Cycles Director since the Spring and it became apparent very quickly that there was synergy, that the timing was right, and that there was an opportunity to work together.”
Bobbin is to be presented as a premium brand within Moore Large’s offering, available to a select number of retailers. The structured ‘Key Dealer’ programme will provide a range of benefits including Point of Sale and marketing support.
Existing Bobbin dealers will be given priority in 2015. New dealers are encouraged to register their interest immediately, as demand for dealerships is expected to be high, the firm said.
Bobbin added: “We won’t be releasing product details until February, but dealers can expect our new range to run along similar lines to this year: beautiful, well-priced, well-made recreational and commuting models, with a few surprises and new additions! We are expanding our accessories line and the first phase of this will be rolled out in the Spring.
“Moore Large have a team of almost 30 sales staff on the road and in the office. This means we can be much more proactive in supporting dealers all over the UK and Ireland. Availability of stock and frequency of drops will be increased and dealers can take advantage of Moore Large’s B2B site, which has clear stock visibility and easy online ordering."
