Independent only side of the business set for significant growth thanks to dealers doubling stock and USA expansion

Boardman Elite set for ”500 per cent growth”

Boardman bikes independent only Elite arm is forecasting "around 500 per cent growth", according to new UK business development manager Adam Biggs.

Speaking at the London Bike Show, Biggs told BikeBiz that a combination of dealers "doubling their orders", fresh accounts and fresh business in the USA has sent stock forecasts skyward.

"Two thirds of our Elite business is done in the UK, with the remainder largely in the USA," explained Biggs. "We’ve had plenty of interest from independents, though we’re typically hand-picking our accounts now due to the technically nature of the product. We’ve gaps to fill in Scotland, Ireland and Wales, for which we’d like to work with specialists who are ideally able to offer professional bike-fitting to their customers."

The Elite Series doesn’t feature in Halfords Boardman stocks and a separate website is to be delivered shortly to better differentiate the product.
