Bladder be-gone, Tzahal-supplier creates hydration-tube for water-bottles

The SmarTube uses a "standard water bottle you can find anywhere and it’s always clean," said a statement from Bluedesert of Kfar Monash, a moshav (collective village) near Netanya on the Israeli coast.

The blister-packaged SmarTube includes a tube, bite-valve mouthpiece, two caps (which, between them, will fit 95 percent of water bottles), a securing strap and tube-clip.

Additional caps can be purchased which fit military canteens (US, and Nato/Israeli) and Gatorade/Powerade bottles.

In the UK, SmarTube is distributed by Hi Gear Ltd.
