London Mayor saves woman from ‘oiks’

Biking Boris to the rescue

Pro-cycling London Mayor Boris Johnson chased off an armed group of young girls who were attacking a woman in Camden, north London, as reported by the BBC.

On Monday night (November 2nd) film maker and activist Franny Armstrong was approached by a group of young girls, one of whom was carrying an iron bar. The girls pushed Armstrong against a car while the Mayor was cycling past.

After calling out for help Boris said to the girls: “What do you think you are doing?”

Armstrong explained: "He picked up the iron bar, called after the girls and cycled after them."

Johnson reportedly called the girls “oiks” while chasing them away and before returning to walk Armstrong home.

The activist added: "He was my knight on a shining bicycle."
