Bikes in boxes: new regs planned

The consultation document previewed on this site last week turns out to be more than just a consultation on whether bikes should be fitted with bells. The DETR today told BikeBiz that the consultation paper is a "tidying up" of current British Standards where they relate to bikes.

So, there will also be draft rules on the correct tools and proper instructions being supplied with bikes-in-boxes, as well as an updating on the braking standards.
