Firm to offer free induction and keep bikes in shape

BikeRight! appointed service partner for Manchester Brompton Dock

BikeRight! will act as service partner to Brompton’s newly launched bike dock and hire scheme at Manchester’s Picadilly Station.

After registering on www.bromptondock.co.uk, new members will be directed to the BikeRight! website to choose one of the free induction sessions. BikeRight! will also be responsible for keeping the bikes in perfect condition.

“Brompton Dock aims to launch 15 docks across the UK by the end of 2012," said BikeRight!’s Jo Somerset. "We see the Manchester scheme as the start of a successful working relationship with Brompton Dock, to roll out a new concept in cycling.”

Mark Antwis, MD of Brompton Dock Ltd, said of the launch: “We are confident when we say that Brompton Dock is the most innovative cycle hire scheme in the UK. With the launch of the new Manchester Piccadilly Brompton Dock, commuters and visitors in Manchester can now take advantage of an innovative system which offers an end to end journey solution. This is unlike any other bike hire scheme. The beauty of a Brompton is that you can take it anywhere; you can store it in your office or your home, you can even keep it next to you in the pub.”

At the launch Transport Minister Norman Baker said: “This innovation really showcases what can be achieved when transport providers come together to establish onward journey solutions for travellers. Courtesy of this initiative, commuters and visitors to Manchester can now realise all the health benefits associated with cycling, with a product founded on the very best of British manufacturing and design expertise.”
