Simon Wear quits Future after 18 years

Future Publishing’s chief operating officer has announced his immediate departure fron the company.

Simon Wear departs having served an 18-year stint at the Bath media giant. His former roles at Future include group publishing and international director, and international director.

"Simon has been a great asset to Future and we’re very sorry to see him go," said chief executive Stevie Spring. "I completely understand that after many years with the company, he’s decided that he wishes to take on new challenges."

The news follows the appointment of Mark Wood as CEO last month. Wood joined the company as a non-executive director in April 2009, but on August 30th stepped down from his role to assume the new position.
