Cold and wet weather footwear specialist product now available to trade accounts

BikeMonger Trade Division adds 45NRTH

Cold and wet weather footwear label 45NRTH has found a home with Bikemonger’s Trade Division.

Most of the range, barring the -28c rated Wolfgar (the weather’s bad, but not that bad) is now in stock with the Dorset distribution arm of Charlie the Bikemonger. Dealers are sought nationwide, but coverage is particularly important for London, Edinburgh/Glasgow, Wales, Bristol and Devon/Cornwall, says owner Charles Hobbs.

He said: "Margins are hearty, the warranty is no nonsense, demand is good and press coverage is imminent with product already out with testers. Stock levels in the UK are deliberately on the low side to prevent seasonal discounting. What’s more, the products are not a “2015 model”, these boots will be with us for at least two years."

Products now in stock include the 25 to -3c rated £205 Japanther, a boot ideal for Spring, Autumn and mild Winters. Constructed with a waterproof membrane and rubberized shell that extends above the ankle, Japanther delivers unrivalled weather protection in the wettest and muddiest of conditions.

The Wölvhammer will provide the same comfort range of -3c to -18c with completely redesigned upper and an updated look for 2016.

45NRTH removed the outer zipper and Velcro in favour of a lace-up design with a gusseted tongue to keep wet winter weather out and warmth in. The full grain leather and ballistic nylon shell provides a durable barrier while the waterproof membrane protects your feet from the elements. The dedicated hook on the toe box pairs perfectly with the Bergraven Gaitors for when the snow gets deep.

Wölvhammer is available now in sizes 38-50 (no size 49) and will retail for £280.

Hobbs concludes: “I am really jazzed to be able to offer the UK great products from 45NRTH, and other brands. As a shop keeper and distributor I know how tough running a bike shop can be, and this makes us a very supportive distributor. My job as distributor is not to sell a dealer a product: that is only one part of it. We drive demand at customer level, which gets folk into your shop.”
