Madison, 9Point9 (part of the 2pure group), Buffera, Lyon, Silva and SueMe are among the bike trade companies who’ve signed up to this year’s Outdoor Trade Show (OTS).
According to organising firm MCS, over 65 per cent of 2012 exhibitors re-booked their stands following the announcement of the date and format for the 2013 event.
Last year, OTS hosted a total of 128 exhibitors at the Stoneleigh Park venue in Warwickshire, and is on target to equal the same number this year thanks to an strong response from the trade so far, with 85 exhibitors already signed up at time of press.
Sarah Gowans of SueMe commented: “OTS is a vital part of our business calendar and is not an exhibition we would miss. It’s always a good venue to catch up with existing customers and meet new ones.”
Last year the show was considerably altered, incorporating the Tent Show.
OTS Organiser Marta Williams commented: “Following what has been another tough year for retailers and manufacturers alike, we are delighted to have taken so many bookings at this early stage from such a fantastic mix of brands. As retailers are looking for additional cross-over products, the show has become very relevant for cycling brands that want to present their range to a new customer base.”
According to a post-show survey analysis from exhibitors and visitors at last year’s event showed that almost 90 per cent of visitors were pleased about merging the Tent Show with OTS in 2012, so for 2013 OTS will stick to a similar combined format. From September 8th to 10th the indoor and outdoor area will be open to attendees, with an extra day – Wednesday September 11th – to allow camping retailers extra time to browse through the hundreds of tents on display.
