With Moore Large, Mission and SuperCycles all exhibiting at the June trade show in Harrogate, there are sure to be plenty of micro-bikes on display. No doubt other companies will also have some of these diddy machines. Anyway, here’s the latest news on the International Cycle Convention

Battle of the ICCle-wickle bikes

Dawes has pulled out but East Coast Distribution (the Wright family flies again!) is in. And the Bicycle Association reckons the show will be sold out by early next week. Late bookers should call 01832 737881 or email admin.event@my-dial.com.

Thanks to the registration cards placed in BTI and BicycleBusiness, over 1000 visitors have registered so far.

And don’t forget to bring your bike and Lycra shorts to the show. BicycleBusiness is organising an industry bike ride to a pub not far from Harrogate. John Moore has signed up, so has Paul Stanforth and Roger Dear of Saracen plus many other trade luminaries. Register your interest at bikeride@bikebiz.co.uk.

Mind you, the Lycra shorts aren’t for the bike ride, you should bring them if you want to win a Computrainer. The Association of British Cycling Coaches has got a stand at the show and they are setting the ‘RacerMate Challenge’ on static bikes. There are prizes for overall male and female champs as well as the fastest riders each day.

And you could win a holiday worth a grand just for turning up. A draw is to be held on the last day of the show with the winner getting a £1000 holiday voucher.
