Avocet Sports and Zyro-Fisher are heading to Cycle Show this September

Heavyweight cycle industry players Avocet Sports and Zyro-Fisher are joining Cycle Show this year at the NEC, Birmingham.

The bicycle businesses are two of the latest to sign up for the long-established Cycle Show, which runs from 23rd September to 25th September, following the trade and press preview on 22nd September.

Cycle Show 2016 will mark the first major UK show appearance for Avocet Sports and Zyro following a significant 12 months for both companies, respectively.

Avocet Sports, which owns the Coyote and Viking bicycle labels, has confirmed that it will launch two new brands at Cycle Show 2016, with details to be unveiled in the months leading to the event. It will be the first time that Avocet Sports is showcasing its ranges at a major UK exhibition following its acquisition by one of the largest cycle manufacturers in the world – India’s Hero Cycles.

“We’re really looking forward to exhibiting at the 2016 Cycle Show,” enthused Avocet Sports Chairman Steven Walsh. “Avocet has gone through big changes over the past 12 months with Hero Cycles of India acquiring a majority stake and we’re excited to exhibit some of our fantastic new brands alongside the new look Avocet.”

Zyro is one of the largest cycle distributors in the bicycle business, bringing respected brands like Giro, Altura, Bell, CatEye and Camelbak, among many others, to the UK and Ireland. Earlier this year Zyro acquired fellow distributor Fisher Outdoor Leisure to become Zyro-Fisher, bringing its portfolio together with the likes of global names including LOOK bikes and SRAM. The appearance is a long awaited return for Zyro to Cycle Show.

Cycle Show is the UK’s longest running cycle exhibition and this year marks its 15th anniversary. Last year saw a record year for the Show with 283 companies taking part and over 28,000 visitors in attendance.
