Cybertill of St Helens, the UK’s only Application Service Provider-based EPoS supplier - and which was spawned from the bike trade - is to release a Chip and PIN solution at the Retail Solutions 2004 exhibition at the NEC on 8th June.

ASP-based EPoS company offers Chip & PIN system

Many European countries have had Chip & PIN credit card payments for years; the UK gets the system this year with a liability deadline of 1st January 2005.

Cybertill’s EMV pre-accredited Chip & PIN solution provides secure bank authorisation in seconds.

Ian Tomlinson, Cybertill’s MD, said:

“This is a major step in the continued growth and development of Cybertill and reflects the changing needs of our customers. It has clearly become a key issue for retailers of all sizes and because of the low cost of our solution, it is available not only for the multi-chain but also single store retailers.

“As one of the only companies of our size to offer an EMV pre-accredited solution, we consider this to be significant proof of the quality of our brand."
