Just like the FreeLock, featured on this site on 5th September, the Imobo ("bike security with a twist") is a lockable handlebar stem which, once locked, makes a bike unrideable.

Another stem immobiliser appears on the scene

Unlike the FreeLock, the Imobo also comes with a tracking transponder chip and numbered registration.

The Imobo is made by Disconnector Ltd of Bideford, Devon. The company has a stand at Cycle 2003 currently running at the Business Design Centre in Islington.

Disconnector plans to sell its handlebar stem via IBDs and expects shops will secure a RRP of £49.95, to include fitting.
